Hong Kong is a victim to this as they are surrounded by the Mainland. It is often that PRD region is a major contributor of the Smog that lingers around Hong Kong especially in the winter months. Smog, is caused by a combination of pollutants from motor vehicles, marine vessels, industry and power plants both in Hong Kong and in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region.
