Roadmap on Popularization of Electric Vehicles

Hong Kong announced a massive electric vehicle programme in order to meet their target of carbon neutrality by 2050. One of the biggest aspects of this programme are the incentives to do with private vehicles. There is to be no new registrations of private fuel-propelled cars by 2035, massive tax concessions, a significant increase in the number of private and public charging facilities in Hong Kong etc. The government is trying its hardest to convince the public to convert their fuel-propelled for an electric alternative with the One for One Replacement Scheme and a grand $2 billion EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme.
