In order to make air quality education easy and fun in the Clean Air School Hong Kong project, Clean Air Network invited Press Start Academy to design an education toolkit on air pollution for primary school students.
The toolkit is called ‘The Last Stand’, a 5-episode time travel-themed adventure that allows primary 4 to 6 students to role-play as Air Cadets, working on some missions to develop skills and knowledge on air pollution, improvement on air quality and sustainable development.
Vince Siu, the founder of Press Start Academy was introducing the ‘The Last Stand’, a 5-episode time travel-themed adventure to the teachers.
Teachers from the 8 collaborative schools in Sham Shui Po and Tuen Mun joined the workshop recently, learning how to bring joy and fun to students.
The toolkit is available for all schools and teachers for download in the brand-new Air-ducate website already. (https://air-ducate.org/) English and Chinese versions are available. You can click ‘Toolkit for Schools’ then ‘For Primary schools’ and see the content and materials.
Students from Primary 4 to 6 can learn more about air pollution from the game.
Also, online engagement meetings with the teachers from the 8 primary schools were held too. They showed their concern towards the air pollution. The location of collaborative schools are mainly close to the main road. They were eager to know the air quality data through the ‘Clean Air School Hong Kong’ app and improve the air quality because of the well being of the students.
